Bio
I was born on Cape Breton Island.
My photography speaks about my passion for art and the creation of it. Preferring to let each image speak for itself, allowing the uniqueness of my image connect the viewer to the photographer.
My career began in 1987, with NBC News, (Burbank, CA) as a Photojournalist/ENG Soundman. I worked throughout the 1988 Winter Olympics then accepted a position with The Penticton Herald as Chief Photographer. In 1990 I returned to Calgary to work with the Calgary Sun as a Photojournalist and eventually including the Advertising and Marketing departments photography for the next 16 years.
Was one of twelve photojournalsits accepted to National Geographic Magazines, Assignment Photography Workshop, with Chris Johns, NG Editor/Photographer.
I also spent a decade with Alberta Search and Rescue, as a Search Manager/Advanced Team Lead for both Foothills and Cochrane chapters. Giving back to the mountains that give me so much.
